Ongoing Charity Partnership with Auctioneera & Dogs for the Disabled

Here at Dogs for the Disabled, we’re delighted to announce that we’ve teamed up with Auctioneera Estate Agency for their ongoing donation scheme.

Helen O’Keeffe, co-director of Auctioneera made initial contact with Margaret Guckian, our Accounts & Office Manager outlining the proposal. Margaret gave Helen a detailed background of the work required to keep a charity like ours running over the last 14 years and into the future. As part of the donation scheme at Auctioneera, they have provided their clients with the option of donating a portion of their estate agency fee to a charity of their choice and Dogs for the Disabled is now a part of this drive.

Director of Auctioneera, Eddie O’Driscoll gives further background. “We noticed the work of Dogs for the Disabled on social media initially and felt that we’d like to reach out to try to help. We want to assist them to get the exposure that they deserve and looking at the dedication and effort that goes into their work at the charity, it was an easy decision to choose Dogs for the Disabled for our curated donation list. They are delivering a new aspect of life to so many adults and children living with disabilities all over Ireland.”

Margaret planned for Helen O’Keeffe of Auctioneera to visit the Dogs for the Disabled headquarters in Togher, Cork recently; Helen saw first-hand the work and commitment given by the team and she got to meet and shake paws with some of the dogs including Ned and Lulu! Check out the photos from their meet and greet to set in place what we hope will be a fruitful pawtnership!
